Welcome to the Alleyway
This first post contains no content of value. It is merely a dusty yellowing newspaper stumbling across a deserted alleyway. The paper billows beyond a veil of steam and the noises of the awakening city clink through the fog. The dawn is arriving.

Rails in Lisp
It has occurred to me that it would be interesting to produce something like [Rails][rails] in Lisp. In the interests of brevity and the general entertainment of the drunkenpacket community (all three of you), let’s give this project a pseudo-neat name: RiL.
This post is the first of several where we will discuss the possible implementation of RiL.
What is distinct about Rails:
convention instead of configuration defaults work out of the box and thereby provide for rapid development powerful ORM mechanism integrated template scheme All of these are lovely features.

Interleaing Pages

Rollovers
While writing another blog article (much delayed by too much stumbling) it has come to me that I want a way to make some diagrams that look like a bit like some of the ones found at Instructables.
In particular, this example shows what I mean.
Here is a screen shot if the example has been moved, altered, doesn’t render in your browser etc.
Observe the following:
there is an image it has some high-lighted rectangles If (with the benefit of Instructables’ JavaScript and CSS) I put the cursor over them, it high-lights the region and pops up a description of it So, how can I do this?

Going Left or Going Right
Background Some time ago at work, I had the occasion to move offices. There were a number of reasons for this. However, the reason is not particularly germane. Here, we are concerned with a much more important issue: the new route to the breakroom.
There are now two paths to the breakroom. The choice is agonizing. Do I want to go left or right? The routes seem almost the same length.
